Welcome! My wife and I are currently in way over our heads with debt, mainly because I’m an idiot, and I have gotten us way in over our heads with personal debt. As of the launch of this site on 5/15/08, our debt load is currently tipping the scales at $120,053.20. This does not include auto loans, student loans, and my home mortgage - if you want the complete total, again as of 5/15/08, it is $431,163.19. Our debt payments are large enough that when living on a very minimal budget, and earning some extra money each month, we can barely afford to pay for everything. I decided to put this site up to document our efforts to become 100% debt free. I’ll discuss strategies we are taking, our progress, and hopefully our complete recovery in a number of years.
